Sustainability Is How We Operate

Based in South of England, Archway Facilities delivers commercial cleaning backed by measurable environmental standards and transparent governance, giving organisations confidence in their sustainability reporting.

We know our clients are working to reduce their environmental impact, and the way their buildings are cleaned is part of that. We take the same approach in our own operations: practical changes we can measure and evidence, not promises we can’t.

Responsibility Built Into The Way We Work

At Archway Facilities, we believe sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is part of how we operate, how we serve our clients, and how we future-proof our business. As a facilities and cleaning provider, we recognise that our industry has a direct impact on waste, chemical use, energy consumption, and supply chains. With that comes responsibility. This is not about short-term marketing claims; it is about building a structured, evidence-based sustainability strategy that improves how we work and supports our clients’ long-term resilience.

Our Vision For Sustainability

Archway’s sustainability vision is built on three core principles:

We cannot improve what we do not measure. Working with our experts at Beyond Procurement, we have undertaken a formal carbon footprint assessment aligned with ISO 14064-1.

We prioritise real operational improvements – such as smarter chemical selection, waste minimisation, and energy efficiency – before considering offsetting.

We see sustainability as a shared journey. We work with suppliers to reduce packaging, explore circular refill systems, and improve product transparency.

Our Carbon Reduction Progress

Transparency is at the heart of our sustainability journey. Our carbon footprinting and reduction strategies are independently assessed, ensuring our data meets recognised environmental standards.

Archway Facilities is committed to reaching Net Zero. We have measured our carbon footprint every year since 2023, and we are working towards ISO certification to build environmental management into how we run every contract.

Chemical-free cleaning technology

We use electrochemical cleaning systems, which produce effective cleaning and disinfection solution on site, reducing chemical use, plastic packaging and deliveries.

Local by design

We are based in Exeter and recruit locally, which keeps travel between our team and our clients’ sites short.

Over the past three years we have worked with East Devon District Council’s Resettlement Team to provide employment for refugees, helping them build stable lives in the community.
