Salary Band: £13.50 per hour

Purpose of Role
The Mobile Cleaner is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality cleaning services across a range of client sites. This role requires someone reliable, flexible, and confident working independently. The Mobile Cleaner will support the wider operations team by covering staff absences, completing deep cleans, and ensuring all sites maintain the standards required by Archway Facilities and our clients.

Key Responsibilities1. Cleaning Duties

  • Carry out cleaning tasks to agreed standards across different locations.
  • Perform routine cleaning such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, toilet cleaning, and waste removal.
  • Complete deep cleans, periodic cleaning, and specialist cleaning when needed.
  • Ensure equipment is always used safely and stored correctly.

2. Flexibility & Site Cover

  • Provide cover at various client sites during staff absences, holidays, or emergencies.
  • Adjust cleaning tasks depending on the needs of each site.
  • Work across different environments, including offices, schools, healthcare sites, and retail.

3. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including correct chemical handling (COSHH).
  • Wear required PPE at all times.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or hazards immediately.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe, clean working condition.

4. Administration & Reporting

  • Accurately record hours worked on each job.
  • Provide feedback on site issues, stock levels, or client requests.
  • Complete cleaning logs, checklists, and audit forms where required.

5. Client & Team Relations

  • Represent Archway Facilities professionally at all times.
  • Communicate respectfully with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Work either independently or as part of a team, depending on the site’s needs.

  • Cleaning standards consistently meet expectations and specifications.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to cover multiple sites on short notice when required.
  • Full compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Accurate and timely submission of reports and timesheets.

Person SpecificationEssential

  • Previous cleaning experience (commercial, office, or industrial).
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites.
  • Strong attention to detail with pride in work quality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willing to travel between client locations.

Desirable

  • Experience using specialist cleaning equipment (e.g., floor machines).
  • Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Previous experience in a mobile cleaning or relief cleaning role.

Working Conditions
